Uploading Files via FTP to Webuzo Server
FTP is the standard method for transferring files to your hosting server. For large files or regular management, FTP is faster and more reliable than the web file manager.

| Username | Webuzo account username |

Find or reset in Webuzo under FTP Accounts or Account Settings.

Best Practices
Security
- Always use SFTP (port 22) over plain FTP
- Use strong passwords, change if compromised
Performance
- Upload compressed archives for many small files, extract on server
- Set FileZilla to 3-5 simultaneous connections
File Management
- Upload to correct directory (public_html)
- Keep directory structure clean
- Delete unused files to conserve space
Troubleshooting
- Cannot connect — Verify credentials, try port 21 vs 22, check IP block
- Connection timeout — Try SFTP/FTP switch, check internet stability
- Upload fails for large files — Check disk quota, use SFTP, upload as compressed archive
- Permission denied — Verify username, check target directory permissions (755)
