How to Install WordPress on DirectAdmin

Install WordPress on your {{COMPANY_NAME}} DirectAdmin hosting in just a few minutes using the built-in application installer.

Using Softaculous / Installatron

Step 1: Access the Installer

1. Log in to DirectAdmin.
2. Look for Softaculous or Installatron in the Extra Features or Apps section.
3. Click to open it.

Step 2: Find WordPress

1. Search for "WordPress" or find it under Blogs category.
2. Click Install.

Step 3: Configure

• Domain: select your domain from the dropdown.
• Directory: leave blank for root install, or specify a subfolder.
• Admin Username: choose a secure username (not "admin").
• Admin Password: strong, unique password.
• Admin Email: your email.
• Site Title: your website name.
• Language: your preferred language.

Step 4: Complete Installation

1. Click Install.
2. Wait 1-2 minutes.
3. You will see a success message with your site URL and admin URL.

Accessing WordPress

• Your site: `https://yourdomain.com`
• Admin dashboard: `https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin`

Post-Installation Setup

1. Set permalinks to "Post name" (Settings > Permalinks).
2. Install LiteSpeed Cache plugin for performance.
3. Install a security plugin (Wordfence or iThemes Security).
4. Choose and activate a theme.
5. Create your pages and content.

Tip: DirectAdmin with LiteSpeed provides excellent WordPress performance. Use the LiteSpeed Cache plugin to take full advantage of server-side caching.
