How to Install WordPress Using Webuzo
WordPress is the world's most popular CMS, and Webuzo makes installing it quick and easy.
Prerequisites
- Active Webuzo hosting plan with {{COMPANY_NAME}}
- Domain name pointed to your server
- Access to Webuzo control panel
Step 1: Log In to Webuzo
Via {{COMPANY_NAME}} client portal: Services > My Services > click your plan > Login to Webuzo. Or direct: https://your-server-ip:2004.
Step 2: Install WordPress
Using Softaculous (If Available)
- Click Softaculous or Apps Installer
- Find WordPress under Blogs category
- Click Install and fill in:

| Directory | Leave empty for root |
| Site Name | Your website name |
| Admin Username | NOT "admin" — choose unique |
| Admin Password | 12+ characters, mixed |

- Under Advanced: enable auto-update, optionally install LiteSpeed Cache
- Click Install (completes in 30-60 seconds)
Using Built-In Installer
Click Install/Applications > find WordPress > Install > follow prompts.
Step 3: Access WordPress
- Admin:
https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin - Frontend:
https://yourdomain.com
Post-Installation Setup
- Permalinks: Settings > Permalinks > Post name > Save
- Essential plugins: LiteSpeed Cache, Wordfence, Yoast SEO, UpdraftPlus, Contact Form 7
- Theme: Appearance > Themes > Add New > Install > Activate
- Essential pages: Home, About, Services, Contact, Privacy Policy
- Security: Delete default "admin" user, install security plugin, enable auto-updates
Troubleshooting
- Installation failed — Check domain DNS, disk space, database permissions
- White screen — Enable WP_DEBUG in wp-config.php, deactivate all plugins via FTP
- Cannot access wp-admin — Clear cache, use "Lost password", or reset via phpMyAdmin
