How to Renew

Method 1: Pay the Renewal Invoice

  1. Log in to the {{COMPANY_NAME}} Client Portal
  2. Go to Invoices
  3. Find the domain renewal invoice (status: Unpaid)
  4. Click Pay Now
  5. Complete payment via Razorpay

Method 2: Manual Renewal from Domains Page

  1. Go to Domains
  2. Click on the domain
  3. Click Renew Domain
  4. Select the renewal period (1 year, 2 years, etc.)
  5. Proceed to payment

Auto-Renewal

Enable auto-renewal to avoid accidental expiry:

  1. Go to Domains > click your domain
  2. Toggle Auto-Renewal to On
  3. When auto-renewal triggers, an invoice is generated and you receive an email to pay

Tip: Auto-renewal generates the invoice automatically but still requires manual payment via the payment gateway. Set calendar reminders as a backup.

Multi-Year Renewal

Save time by renewing for multiple years:

  • Most domains can be renewed for up to 10 years
  • Longer renewal periods lock in current pricing
  • Reduces the risk of accidental expiry

What Happens When a Domain Expires

Grace Period (0-30 Days)

  • Your website and email stop working
  • The domain can still be renewed at the regular price
  • No data is lost — services resume after renewal

Redemption Period (30-60 Days)

  • The domain can be restored but at a significantly higher fee
  • Restoration fees vary by TLD (typically 5-10x the registration price)
  • Contact support to initiate domain redemption

Released (60+ Days)

  • The domain is deleted from the registry
  • Anyone can register it as a new domain
  • This is irreversible
