cPanel Dashboard Overview and Navigation
cPanel organizes all your hosting management tools into logical sections. This guide helps you find your way around the dashboard so you can manage your website, email, databases, and more with confidence.
Dashboard Home
When you first log in, you'll see the cPanel home screen with:
- Search Bar — Type any feature name to jump directly to it (e.g., File Manager, Email)
- General Information — Your server details, IP address, disk usage, and current cPanel theme
- Statistics — Quick overview of resource usage including disk, bandwidth, email accounts, and databases
Tip: The search bar at the top of cPanel is the fastest way to find any tool. Start typing and it filters the results in real time.
Files Section
Manage all your website files and backups:
- File Manager — Browser-based file manager for uploading, editing, and organizing files
- Images — Scale and convert images stored on your account
- Directory Privacy — Password-protect specific directories
- Disk Usage — See which folders are consuming the most disk space
- Web Disk — Access your hosting files as a network drive
- FTP Accounts — Create and manage FTP user accounts
- FTP Connections — Monitor active FTP sessions
- JetBackup — Restore files, databases, or full accounts from automated backups
Email Section
Set up and manage your professional email:
- Email Accounts — Create, modify, and delete email addresses
