Accessing Webmail in DirectAdmin
Webmail lets you read, compose, and manage your email from any web browser without configuring a desktop email client. DirectAdmin provides multiple webmail interfaces to choose from.
How to Access Webmail
Method 1: Direct URL
Open your browser and go to:
https://mail.yourdomain.comor
https://yourdomain.com/webmailEnter your full email address and password to log in.
Method 2: Via DirectAdmin
- Log in to DirectAdmin
- Go to E-Mail Manager > E-Mail Accounts
- Click the Webmail icon next to your email account
- You will be logged in automatically via SSO
Method 3: Via Client Portal (SSO)
- Log in to your {{COMPANY_NAME}} client portal
- Go to My Services and select your hosting plan
- Click Login to Webmail or use the Webmail link

RainLoop
- Lightweight and fast
- Clean, minimal interface
- Good for mobile browsers
Using Roundcube (Recommended)
Composing Email
- Click Compose (or the + button)
- Enter the recipient in the To field
- Add a Subject
- Type your message in the editor
- Click Send
Managing Folders
- Click Settings (gear icon)
- Go to Folders
- Click + to create a new folder
- Drag and drop to organize
Setting Up Signature
- Click Settings > Identities
- Click your email address
- Enter your signature in the Signature field
- Check HTML signature if you want formatting
- Click Save
Contacts
- Click the Contacts icon in the top menu
- Click + to add a new contact
- You can also import contacts from a
.vcffile
Tips for Better Webmail Experience
- Organize with folders — Create folders for projects, clients, or categories
- Use filters — Set up rules to automatically sort incoming mail
- Check spam folder — Occasionally review your junk folder for false positives
- Empty trash regularly — Deleted emails still count toward your quota
- Use keyboard shortcuts — Press
?in Roundcube to see available shortcuts
Troubleshooting
Cannot Log In to Webmail
- Verify you are using the full email address as username
- Reset your password via DirectAdmin
- Clear your browser cache and cookies
- Try an incognito window
Webmail Loads Slowly
- Clear your browser cache
- Try a different webmail client (e.g., switch from Roundcube to RainLoop)
- If your mailbox is very large, archive old emails
Emails Not Showing Up
- Check the correct folder (Inbox, not Spam or another folder)
- Click Refresh or Check for new messages
- Verify your MX records are correctly configured
