How to Order Domain + Hosting Together
Ordering a domain name and hosting plan together is the fastest way to get your website online. {{COMPANY_NAME}} makes it easy to bundle both in a single checkout, with automatic nameserver configuration so everything works right away.
Why Order Together?
- Automatic Setup — Nameservers are configured automatically so your domain points to your hosting immediately
- Single Checkout — Save time by purchasing everything in one transaction
- No Manual DNS Configuration — Skip the technical step of updating nameservers separately
- Single Invoice — Easier to manage billing with one combined invoice
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Start with Hosting
- Log in to your Client Portal at {{SUPPORT_URL}}/client
- Click Order New Service
- Browse the hosting plans and click Order Now on your chosen plan
- Select your preferred billing cycle (annual is recommended for best value)
Step 2: Add a New Domain
When prompted to associate a domain:
- Select Register a new domain
- Enter your desired domain name and search for availability
- Choose your preferred extension (.com, .in, .net, etc.)
- Select the registration period (1 year is standard)
- Click Add to Cart
Both the hosting plan and the domain will now be in your cart.
Tip: If you already own a domain registered elsewhere, choose I already have a domain instead. You will need to update your nameservers manually after checkout.
Step 3: Review Configuration
Before checkout, review:
- Hosting Plan — Verify the plan name, billing cycle, and price
- Domain — Verify the domain name and registration period
- Nameservers — These should be set to {{COMPANY_NAME}} default nameservers (this happens automatically)
- Contact Details — Ensure your domain contact information is correct
Step 4: Complete Checkout
- Review the total amount (hosting + domain + GST)
- Apply a coupon code if you have one
- Select your payment method
- Complete the payment
Step 5: Automatic Provisioning
After successful payment, the following happens automatically:
- Domain Registration — Your domain is registered within minutes
- Hosting Provisioning — Your hosting account is created (1-5 minutes)
- Nameserver Configuration — Your domain is configured to point to your hosting server
- SSL Certificate — A free SSL certificate is provisioned for your domain
- Welcome Email — You receive an email with all your account details
Tip: While DNS propagation can take up to 48 hours globally, your website will typically be accessible within 1-4 hours after ordering.
What to Do Next
Once your order is complete:
- Log in to your control panel via SSO from the Client Portal
- Upload your website files using File Manager or FTP
- Install WordPress or another CMS using the one-click installer (Softaculous)
- Set up email accounts for your domain
- Configure any additional DNS records you may need (e.g., for Google Workspace)
Troubleshooting
- Domain registered but hosting still Pending? Hosting provisioning may take a few minutes longer. Wait 15 minutes and refresh.
- Website showing a default page? Your hosting is active but you have not uploaded your website files yet. Log in to your control panel and upload files to public_html.
- SSL certificate not working? Free SSL certificates are issued after DNS propagation. Wait a few hours and check again.
- Email from your domain not working? MX records need DNS propagation. Give it up to 4 hours after initial setup.
